~ Vintage Conklin P3 Fountain Pen

~ Working Pen

• Conklin P3 - BCHR hard rubber , Crescent Filler Fountain Pen , Circa 1910-15~Pen is restored to working and ready to fill with ink and write :-) - the crescent filler & lock ring work perfectly.
  

• This is collectible and a working pen, over all very clean & sturdy pen, The cap threads on well & posts perfectly. The pen shows honest use & wear, but, NO CRACKS, no chips, no scratches, no personal names, The cap lip is perfect, the gold filled trim is quite nice with minimal wear & minor patina. - The pen has a new #16 ink sac just installed

• The imprints are all worn, some areas are hard to read, I can just make out \"P3\" (see photos please) the early \"UNSCREW\" with the \'Hand\' picture as shown - This is an early Conklin, one of the earliest with a threaded cap. - This is an original clip-less cap -The pen never had a pocket clip.
  

• The pen has a very nice semi flex (plus) #2 Conklin Nib with good remaining iridium tipping , Fairly easy flex, fine point to 1.2mm, I would not go further to preserve the nib - Smooth on Rhodia paper
  

• The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue, & Diamine Monaco Red.

• The writing sample was made by actually filling the pen & writing with it, The sample will be included with the pen.
  

• The pen is 4 & 3/8\" capped, and 5 & 5/8\" posted. ~ Smaller pen, but a good size for writing when posted.
