Presented for your consideration is an original, antique vintage, hand-painted * hand-colored * hand-tinted portrait from a Hooker's Gallery negative. The description of the item consists of the scans and title, in addition to issues to be expected in original period items of this nature and age. Photographer: HOPPER'S LOCATED AT 226 BLEEKER STREET, CORNER OF CARMINE, NEW YORK, NYC. Formerly of 228-1/2.

"The last name, "Ball," is that of his wife, "Mary V. Ball". (The recipient of the artwork) * No. 13,15

The negative from which this likeness was taken will be retained for one year. Duplicates may be had at any time when ordered".

Approximate measurements: over 9-1/2" x 11-1/2" from edge to edge of the entire piece. Measuring from edge to edge of the actual painted photo itself, not including the lined oval border, approximately 6" x 8".

Please be certain to take note of the various areas of the paper which have sustained damage such as creasing, paper pulls, tears, holes, etc., the painted photographic image however, remains in very good antique condition, to say the least. My photos of this item were taken through a clear plastic case as I prefer not to remove the photo.
