The fascination of the daily occurrences of those bygone days that took place in the Old West and China are harbored within this AuthenticLarger Size Antique Opium Den Oil Lamp. Lamps such as this were used to illuminate the dim shadows of the Chinese and American Opium Dens, Gambling Parlors and Bordellos, often times the only lighting in these establishments.
CONDITION
ThisEXTREMELY RARE, Unique, One of a Kind, Larger Sized Opium Den ALL GLASS Opium Lamp is original and is in good condition. The lamp does have a few very smallflea biteson the base but they barely show. This lamp is in very nice condition.
These All Glass Opium Lamps are VERY RARE and if not for the very smallflea biteson the base this lamp would be priced at $450.00 or higher. If you\'re lucky you might find one piece of an allglass opium lamp. There was a poppy shaped glass oil burnerthat soldon for over $300.00, and broken or cracked bases sell for up to $175.00. So you see just how RARE it is to even find the glass parts, let alone a complete lamp.
This Lamp stands approx. 4 1/8\" tall and is approx. 3 1/4\"in diameter at the base. We have an image of this lamp next to a cola can as well as an image of the lamp held in an adult male\'s hand to help give you a better idea of its actual size.
