A very early reverse glass, copper framed sign for the American bank in Wetumka, Oklahoma. This sign seems to be made of thick 1/4 inch glass, which is heavy and has original copper frame. The lettering style is very folky, the gold is a deep shade in the lettering, which is in great shape. The black background has some scratches and small areas of paint loss, which could easily touched up without damage. The copper frame is in nice condition, some screws missing from corner pieces, one corner piece split on seam, not noticeable but there. As far as age goes it should date from turn of century to maybe 1920. the sign frame measures24 by 17 inches by 1 1/4 inches deep. A great historic sign! not many bank signs surface these days!
