Electric Neon Clock Co ENCC Cleveland 26\" Clock for Parts or Restoration For Sale

Offered is an antique Electric Neon Clock Co., Cleveland neon clock that dates to the 1930\'s. It is being sold for parts or restoration. I believe it is complete except for fasteners. All parts are pictured. Here is a run down of the condition. I will likely ship the inner neon tube separately as it is not clear how to attach inside. There are four plastic standoffs one of which is broken off on the mounting plate which likely supported the tube. They may some missing inner tube mounting parts. The outer tube is securely wired to the fame supports. Here is a condition rundown.

Neon tubes both work. Both have had the wires broke off, the glass ends nibbled and new wire soldered on. How durable this is I do not know. Both tubes are pictured lighted. They are red and white.

Transformer is likely the original Franceformer 7030P that is rusted on one bottom end but still works.

Plexiglass bubble cover has worn white paint, a 4\" crack (close-up) and a few scratches. It looks slightly cloudy but could be polished.

On the dial, the blue painted numerals are solid. About half of the red outlines and in the border has worn off but there is substantial red remaining. The white background has loss particularly around the numeral ring and a few stains. A good color match should allow the white background to be re-painted.

The clock movement is tarnished with some rust on steel. It is not frozen and the gears will move. It could be cleaned and lubricated. The time setting rod is present but the connector to the clock is severely rusted and I believe the gear on this part that interfaces with the clock movement is missing. All three hands are present but there is wear on the bright blue paint. The clock motor is present but does not work.

Case and mounting plate are both rusty. The case is rusted out at the bottom and in places around the edge where the back is attached. It could be repaired but a better case would be a plus. It is also rusted out where the wall mount bracket is attached. The mounting plate has a small rust out at the bottom but otherwise should clean up. The metal that supports the dial and outer tube has rust but should clean up well. The edge gasket between this part and the bubble has hardened and parts of the gasket are missing. A car door edge protector should be a suitable replacement.
