There are some maker\'s marks on it and on the top edge there is an inscription that has a French name and the date 1877. The serial number on the bayonet matches the scabbard. Overall, this unusual weapon is in fantastic condition. I do not see anything wrong with it. It measures (without scabbard) 25 1/4\" long.
