Gold Bullion Balance Scale 30\" Brass Beam 1500 Troy Ounces For Sale

This is an incomplete gold or silver bullion balance scale. It has no name or markings on it but it is identical to a Troemner scale. The highest capacity for a 30\" beam bullion scale in the 1906 Troemner catalog is 1500 troy ounces. The brass beam is 30\" or a total of 36\" counting the adjusting screws on the end. This scale is missing the hanging pans, stirrups, chart and the wood base. All of the pivots and knife edges are in good condition and the beam balances smoothly. The last photo is two photos of a similar scale in a museum, these photos are also included. The four brass bolts to secure the cast iron column to the wood base are included. The cast iron column appears to have had a copper finish. This scale is 36\" tall without the base. The handle to raise and lower the beam is in working condition.
