Here is a Collector outfit for you Mego Cher Collectors who loved Cher in her Lady Luck skit. Similar to her Vamp skit featured on her 70s television hit show The Sonny& Cher Comedy Hour, then later on her solo venture The Cher Show and again on The Sonny and Cher Show, this skit sang \"I\'m Lady Luck and I got your number, yeahhh ♫♪ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬\"and told of a clever woman who always holds the trump card.
This was inspired by the black and silver metallic dress and cap and the rare green version made by Bob Mackie for the Mego Cher doll in 1976 and has today been made by the artist who wrote The Fabulous World of Cher Dolls books. For a long time, I didn\'t believea green version really existed.
This sale includes the Mego Cher doll in the first photo, the gown and cap and a pair of black, Mego, criss-cross heels (doll shoes). The doll you will get is the one thathas the better, longer hair, the first photo and the last few photos that show the dress lining. Plus, I am including the Slot Machine Bank in the first photo so you can cause a scene!
The outfit is machine and hand sewn with a deep, plunging neckline that showcases the amazing décolleté of this doll. The cap and gown are both in lovely green, sequin fabric, which is slightly stretchy, making it relatively tough to sew with ona machine but a dream to hug your doll likea second skin, lined in black satin and tagged by the designer and embellished with rare rhinestone and rare, gorgeous, black and silver sequin trim. The jewel in the middle is reminiscent of the Mego Fortune Teller but thatdiamond look, jewelat the navel is slightly bigger. Earrings are actually attached to the cap so you don\'t have to worry about poking holes in your Cher doll ears or gluing earrings on. The cap is even lined and I have revised with pics of interior. Cap can hold a lot of her hair in a bun like a Dr. Seuss or hip hop style, or you can make it smaller to look more like the cloche turban style one Cher wore on television in Lady Luck skits. Outfit and hat can be removed but are handmadeand somewhat fragile, so they are recommended age 12 andup. Las Vegas placemats and other roulette wheel props not included.
