• BULBSIZE: Two C7 Bulbs (Night Light Bulbs). IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend using a C7 bulb of 7½ watts for this lamp. Bulbs of larger size and/or wattage are not appropriate for this particular vintage accent lamp as they may cause heat damage to the glass and metal.

NOTE: This listing includes the lamp and shades only. The light bulbs are used for illustration only and are not included. We\'ve just received a shipment from France which includes this wonderfullamp and a companion piece which depicts two mischievous boys smoking a pipe and a cigar reminiscent of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer (SORRY, SOLD!). The two lamps are listed separately but came from the same French country estate. We also have other French lamps and ephemera from that shipment which we will be listing in the coming days.This exquisite lamp features a French country maiden toting dual flower baskets draped from a yoke across her shoulders. The lamp is cast is superb detail which highlights her physical characteristics and the subtle nuances of her clothing. The rich original bronze enamel finish is in outstanding condition with almost no loss and there is no damage to the metal base or figural. This lamp is quite large, standing nearly 14\" tall. Please refer to the next-to-the-last photo above for scale.The baskets are capped with Czech glass flowers--one primarily red and the other green. These, too, are in excellent condition with no breakage or gaping expanses. The \'flowers\' are attached to a wire frame and metal band which hold them in place.The lamp has been rewired with a new inline switch and cord because the original cloth cord was neither serviceable nor compatible with U.S. outlets. The brass and porcelain sockets are probably original. Although currently in working condition, Buyer is encouraged to have the lamp inspected for safety by an electrician or lighting specialist prior to use. Because of the age of the piece and the opportunity for hardware to shift during transit, we make no warranty, implied or expressed, regarding the electrical components of this or any vintage item we offer for purchase.Please take a moment to review all of the photos of this item as they may provide the best description.
