Lovely Pair Black Basalt Wedgwood Jasperware Candlesticks England 1890-1910

Presented is a exquisite pair of black basalt jasperware candle sticks made in England by Wedgwood.

The candlesticks have the shape of a pre-classical Greek Doric column, with crisp white applied decoration depicting a variety of mythological figures.

The bottom is marked “Wedgwood, England.” We would date these candlesticks to about 1860-1880.

These pieces are in great shape. There are no chips, no cracks and no problems of any kind.

This pair will be a great addition to your collection!
