Time to lighten my inventory and pay some medical bills!
Here is a rare one: A real Portuguese-made Holster for the M1943 LUGER PISTOLS. There were only about 4,000 of these pistols made by Mauser for the Portuguese in 1943 & they, in turn, constructed these unique holsters for their Lugers.
The interesting features include:
- A pouch for the loading tool, plus there is also a pouch for the 5 1/2\" long cleaning rod. Neither tool is present nor included.
- A unique top flap system that surrounds the pistol, protecting it.
- A unique loop system for the closure strap, where it is sewed inside the top cover, is pulled down, then laced thru a brass loop on the lower body, then pulled upward and passed over the brass closure stud
This one has had Arsenal Repairs to the toe & what appear to be replacement belt loops. Everything is solid but the brass closure stud, which appears \"frail\". Otherwise, all is good. I put my 1915 DWM Luger inside.
FLAWS: This rather rare holster is in quite serviceable condition! The brass closure stud appears \"frail\" & will not tolerate rough handling. Threads are good! Belt loops appear to be Arsenal replacements. The toe was repaired with lighter-color leather.
