Authentic Bullfighter Estoque from Legendary Swordsmith

Here is a chance to own an authentic M. Bermejo sword. The Estoque is used for the final, killing blow by the Matador. M. Bermejo is considered by many to be the finest sword-smith in all of Spain and the Bermejo Estoque was used by all the legendary matadors. This sword was purchased in Spain by my father in the 1950s. Thanks to his favorite novelist, Hemingway, he became a fan of bullfighting as a young man and traveled to Spain after finishing college. He met several of the best-known matadors of the day and even Hemingway himself during that trip. The estoque was actually given to him as a gift and I believe it has actually been used in the arena though I cannot verify that. The wear on the handle has always been there as long as I can remember since the 60s. Condition:
The blade itself is in excellent condition and still very sharp. I did not attempt to clean it since it is not my area of expertise and I didn\'t want to risk any damage to the metal. There are definite signs of wear to the fabric that covers the handle and the top of the handle itself. Over the years, the leather & metal sheath has cracked and broken in several places. It is split along the entire, lengthwise seam and has also been broken in two places. The metal tip area was the first to break off and my father placed a piece of tape over that to keep it on. I have not tried to remove the tape. I took as many photos as I could from all different angles of both the sword and the sheath. They should clearly show the damage to the latter. Dimensions:

Sword w/Cover: Approximately 37.5\" (96cm) long and 7\" (18cm) at widest part of handle.Comments:
