A rare and beautiful m1840 light artillery officer\'s saber manufactured by Ames.  Painstakingly professionally conserved, this sword was returned to active duty for ceremonial use.  The beautifully gilded blade highlights the spectacular engraving; all brass parts are gilded, to include the rings on the scabbard.
