Martha APPLELEAF - San Ildefonso Pueblo Black on Black Pottery
Large Feather Pot
Martha Appleleaf, born in 1950, is the daughter of Carlos and Carmelita Dunlap. Martha as a child watched her parents and her great aunts, MARIA MARTINEZ and Desideria Montoya make the TRADITIONAL pots with the TRADITIONAL designs. The feather design with the flat black against the HIGH POLISH, makes the design stand out. Her pieces seldom come to sale. Absolutely NO cracks, scratches or dings. Original to the day I purchased it. The bottom of this pot is CLEAN. On display in an enclosed cabinet, the inside is as clean as the outside. The size is: 7 high x 7 inches wide. The opening is 3 inches. Overall the condition is VERY FINE+++++.
