This is one of my original hand crafted, full signature, wooden musical boxes. It has the star inlay design by Cynthia (design #2 edition #4). The star inlay is made from cherry wood. Thewalnut box has miter cut corners which are doweled for strength and mysignature wooden hinges. A new feature on my music boxes is a cap for the hinge pin also made from walnut. It has a low gloss finish from several coatsof hand rubbed tung oil. This process showcases the naturalcolors, grains, and knots in the woods. Thereis a small compartment for jewelry or trinkets with a blue velvet liner on the bottom of a basswood base. The see through cover over the movement is acrylic. The Reuge changing 36 note musical movement was made in Switzerland. It is a fully serviced previously owned 1970s movement from secondary market - the tune sheet too. There is a brass sliding on/off button on the side of the box. When in the on position it plays until the spring is unwound. When in the off position it will stop at the end of the current tune. Ifyour speakers are on you should hear a recording of itplaying. Measurements in inches & (centimeters): Height = 3.25 (8.25cm), Length = 8 (20.5cm), Width = 5.125 (13.25cm). Dimensions given atmaximum points. The item(s) weight is approximately 1 pound 15 ounces.
If your speakers are on you should be able to hear it play. It is a digital recording from a microphone that does not reproduce the sound exactly as heard in person. I attached the recorded sound file to demonstrate that the product is operating properly and to give an impression of the overall sound arrangement. The high notes always get amplified more and sound a bit tinny on the recording but in real life they are crisp and clear at the appropriate volume. Keep in mind that these are mechanical items and there may be some background noise from the turning parts and gears. Because each box is made by hand there maybe some minor blemishes or defects as a result of the manufacturing process.

Item(s) will be shipped by USPS within 3 business days from receipt of cleared payment. Successful Buyers pay for shipping & handling. If the buyer desires double boxing, there will be a surcharge of $5. If an item requires unusual or special packing the handling fee amount will appear at the beginning of the main description.
Local pick up: Pick ups in Northridge CA are welcome by appointment. The applicable sales tax will be applied to total. Delivery: Local delivery of large or very fragile items is available for a fee based on the destination.
California Sales Tax: Any item picked up in, delivered to, purchased from or shipped to a California address will be charged the prevailing sales tax rate for Los Angeles City unless, you have a valid California resale permit.
Insurance Claims: If an insured item is damaged or lost during shipping buyer agrees cooperate in the filing of an insurance claim at the post office. Buyer is responsible for completing the insurance forms and delivering all original packing material including the damaged item to the post office.
INTERNATIONAL: International buyers are responsible for any VAT, duties or tariffs imposed by their country. We do not adjust values or mark items as gifts (so please do not ask).Update to UK shipments: all items valued more than $1000 must be shipped via global express guaranteed (email for estimate).
There is a $3 handling fee on international packages.
