The SAAB J 35 \"DRAKEN\" was introduced in 1955 as firstSwedish delta wing fighter and first double supersonic fighter built inwestern Europe (and to make it better asfriendor foe, the DRAKEN was first able to perform STOL functions). The fighters design was created as a double delta wing profile, prepared to start the superfast \'DRAKEN\' (Dragon) just similar as other STOL aircraft. By this procedure it was even possible to lift the whole fighter in an extreme stalling angle with the help of additional small assistant retractable starting gear under its tail. A number of 651 units were produced from 1960 to 1974 – in service for Sweden, Austria, Finland and Denmark.
