Original WW2 Soviet Mosin-Nagant 91/30 PU sniper scope with Izhevsk made mountDescription:Original WWII 91/30 PU sniper scope for the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle. WWII production sniper scope made by the classified plant #357 \'Progress\' in Omsk (Siberia, Russia) between 1943 and 1944. The scope has different markings such as the \"Progress\" plant logo (a star, a hammer & sickle, lens), 91/30 (this indicates that the scope was calibrated for the 91/30 Mosin-Nigant rifle), sniper scope serial number #А-71804, etc. Please see the photos for more details. The scope comes with an original Izhevsk made side mount (Kochetov mount) and a side rail mount complete with all pins and screws needed. The side rail and mount are nicely marked with Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant logos. Original genuine leather lens caps and a canvas cover are also included. The cover is made of heavy canvas and has an inner pocket. It is closed with a leather strap and a metal buckle. This set also includes a drill bit and a tap to mount the scope on your Mosin Nagant rifle. The Mosin-Nagant rifle, equipped with a 91/30 PU scope, was an exceptionally effective sniper rifle during the Second World War. The similar scope was used by Vasily Zaytsev, a Soviet sniper during World War II, notable particularly for his activities between November 10 and December 17, 1942, during the Battle of Stalingrad. By mounting a 91/30 PU scope to your rifle you can enjoy the same reliability and accuracy for your hunting or sport shooting needs. Specifications: Magnification, x 3.5 Objective dia., mm. 20 Field of view, ft 21.4 Eye relief, mm. 65 Length, in. 6.9 Weight, oz. 20.2 Condition Excellent bright optics. Front and rear lens are original hand polished. The view through the scope is very clear with a sharp reticule. The scope is in great working order. All adjustment knobs work smoothly and reticle moves perfectly. The outer case is in excellent condition considering its age and the fact that it was used in combat during the war.
