- Rare and large original vintage war WW2 homefront propaganda poster, circa 1943, in excellent condition with light restoration, archivally mounted on acid free paper and linen-backed. Measures 40 1/4 x 30 inches plus linen margins. One small area of paper restoration near center, one or two light creases and short closed tears along edges resolved when linen backed, old fold lines just barely visible still. Lightly toned, possible light stain or minor abrasions to image area. Artwork by Hotchkiss, US Navy Reserve. Produced by the Incentive Division of the US Navy, serial S & A1-5M, printed by Lutz & Sheinkman, New York. A workplace motivational and informational poster reminding engineers and shipbuilders involved in the construction or warships and other heavy war material of the composition of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with detailed multi-color chart prepared by the Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, Salvage Conservation Section. Very rare.
