Very rare New and never flown WW II Tiger Moth/Gipsy Major engine speed indicators (R.P.M. gauges) in their original boxes and wrapped in their original war time grease proof paper. Manufactured by Smith\'s Aircraft Instruments of Cricklewood, London, UK during the 1940\'s. These Rev counters are suitable for any 4 cylinder Gipsy Major De Havilland or other aircraft of a similar era. These Rev counters are complete with the original British Air Ministry Crown (A.M.) embossed on the back coverand has the original factory lead seals still intact on the back cover, and are in mint condition.
A protector cap is screwed on to the bottom of the Tacho connectors so that the treads are not damaged during transport.
The RAF war time part number 6A/687 is visible on the rear cover. N.O.S.
Cannot be sold to the UK as the Royal Mail confiscates the instrument and disposes of it, because of fluorescent numbers on the dial face. The rest of the World is ok!
