BEAUTIFUL & EXTREMELY RARE LARGE ANTIQUE GE GENERAL ELECTRIC AMBER GLASS GAS STREET LIGHT GLOBE W/GE LOGO – CIRCA 1895
Measures approximately 13” high by 10 9/16” in diameter atboth the top and the bottom.
Excellent original condition. One small chip on the top rim (see last photo) – otherwiseexcellent condition.
Put a round tray under it, several candles inside, andyou’ll have quite the interesting conversation piece.
A fellow er wrote to me and explained that he has one of these that was given to him by his grandfather. His grandfather was an electrician after WWII when gas street lamps were being converted to electricity. According to this er, this globe is the only other one he has seen.
