RARE/VHTF Vintage Shawnee \"Lucky\" Elephant w/Gold Trim & Decals Cookie Jar (USA) For Sale

This very rare and very hard to find vintage cookie jar is by Shawnee. This elephant with its trunk up (which means \"good luck\") is named Lucky which is written in gold letteringacross the chest. Lucky is cream coloured with flowered decals and gold trim. Thereare some spots of very minimal ware to the gold trim. The gold bow has quite a bit of ware (see photos).There are also some areas of fine glaze crazing that look like hairlines but cannot be felt when you rub your finger across them. Those areas are: on the belly besidethe left foot, on the inside of the jar by the left foot and on the right side on the green band around the neck (2). There is a small, pale green spot to the right of the flower decal on his belly. Please use zoom feature whenviewing defects.There is a chip on the rim of the base at the back of Lucky\'s neck which is not too noticeable when lidded because the head covers most of it. On the inside of the jar on the bottom, there are some discoloured \"cracks\" which I believecould be\"shrinkage\"that happened during the drying process. Overall and even with these minor defects thisrare cookie jar is in very good condition!!Displays beautifully!!!
