AREUGE WOOD MUSIC JEWELRY BOX DANCING COUPLE BALLERINA Hi - Lili , Hi - Lo. The wood is glossy and the movement works great and playsHi - Lili , Hi - Lo. The inside of the lid has an array of 7 vertical mirrors which has a white cord encircling the mirrors. When the movement is wound and the lid is opened the couple dances moving up and down with some rotation either to the right or the left. This box is hard to come by especially in this larger size since most of these boxes are only 6\" wide side to side. The underside has a label which indicates Swiss Movement. Please remember to close the lid gently to protect the dancing figures as they are on a spring loaded pivot and if you are going to store the box for a lengthy time please remove the dancers by lifting them straight up and place them in the compartment of the box for safekeeping. Very Occasionally it is possible that the dancers may not pivot to an upright position when the lid is opened and all that is needed is a gentle nudge with your finger.
The box when closed measures 9\" wide, 6.25\" front to back, and 4 1/8\" tall. The interior compartments measure 2.75\" x 4.25\" and 1 3/8\" deep, and the overall weight is 2 lbs and 2 oz.
The condition is Very good preowned with notation of a small finish loss on the lid as pictured, also the interior lining has some spots as pictured, and the mirrors have occasional minuscule dark spots and the cord around the mirrors has a slight spreading at the ends where they meet above the mirrors.
