The jamb width is 4-1/2” – 6-1/2” depending upon the width that you need.Much of this wood comes from old barns and house from the 1950\'s and older torn down and then the wood is made into rustic doors and furniture. The reclaimed lumber is carefully selected and kiln dried to take out all of the moisture so that these doors will not warp. The wood becomes rock hard. Imperfections such as wormholes and streaks are desirable characteristics and help create the beauty of these rustic reclaimed lumber doors. These do great in all climates.1. Doors and furniture are made of reclaimed lumber. This lumber comes from older buildings, wall framing, roof rafters, floor joists, floor planking, wall paneling, exterior porches, beams and posts. It is hand selected for the best pieces to make our products. Because of its age it is harder, dry, has cracked or bowed by now and once made into our products will not crack or bow anymore.
This reclaimed lumber is strong and sturdy and makes for good working material for furniture and doors. This will last a long time and has already lasted for decades or even centuries. It is wonderful to see the character in the wood from extremes in hot or cold temperatures, sun baking the wood, rain soaking the wood and maybe hail pounding a thousand pin holes in the wood. All Dado, rabbet and butt joints are glued together with a water proof wood glue and pressure clamped for a maximum strength joint. Includes weather stripping. All doors are pre hung with jamb and threshold.
2.All of our wrought iron Mexican decorative pieces are hand made by a local Baja Black Smith.
3. All of our wrought iron products are painted twice with a Rustoleum 2X coverage. Wrought iron will be flat black unless you specify semi gloss.
4. We do not use any fillers or veneers. All door materials, jambs, trim, et cetera are all solid wood product.
