The items are a Very Rare Pair of Antique Collectable Ronson Art Deco Nude Ladies Bookend Sculptures. The name of these lovely ladies is \"Just One Tiptoe\". They are from the mid 1920\'s and are in great condition(see pictures). They look to be made of bronze and other metals, with the original polished gold finish, and weigh 3 pounds each. The condition of this beautiful set is wonderful, with incredible detail and workmanship. Each measures 11 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 3 inches deep. These are very rare, and highly collectable, and considering the age and condition, will only go up in value as time goes by. A great investment!
These were made by Ronson Art Metal Works, which was founded and owned by Louis Vincent Aronson (1869-1940). As a young man he set up a laboratory in his parent\'s basement in New York City, and developed plating processes, among other things. Over the years, due to proceeds from his patent rights and inventions, he started his own company, Art Metal Works, in New York City. His metal sculptures varied widely in subject, and are now highly collectable, with his art deco bookends, like these listed here, being the most valuable and sought after by collectors the world over.
These will be shipped with great care and fully insured and guaranteed to be as listed and pictured. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and thanks for looking.
