This is a 10-day sale! sale ends SUNDAY SEPT. 30, 2018 - DONT MISS IT!Found mint in original box in Japan in 2000, I bought two of them, andsold one right away for $3500. I kept this second one, and just unearthed it from storage. This toy is very scarce, evenrare... and it\'s said only one run of them was made, so possibly only 250 pieces or less. This toy is featured in T. Kithara\'s ROBOTS, TIN TOY DREAMS toy book c1985; his example is loose without box, rocket or saucer.
Here is a video of this toy shot back in 2013, it was the first time it was removed and run out of the box. I removed it for recent photos and tested it, it works fine, but my batteries were not fresh so it slowed down a bit. To view the video, please copy and paste the following in your address bar to pull up the Youtube have no idea what market value on this toy would be today, but I will let buyers decide - offer to win, you may not see this toy mint in box again.
The bank stands just over 9\" tall; the globe itself is covered with thick, printed paper, and it\'s in great condition having lived in its box for so many years. The box and its paper label are also in stellar condition... bright colors and bold graphics. All inserts are in the box including top and bottom holders, and side buffers. The rocket and saucer are in their original brown envelope, and the toy comes with 3 slugs that say \"passed\" on them so in case you didn\'t have a coin handy, you could still play with the toy. The slugs double as an opener for the stopper of the coin box as well.
The original box is gorgeous, straight and firm with a really nice, intact paper label. Japanese instructions mean it was likely intended for local consumption, but the rocket or saucer are to be placed on the United States, so might have been intended for export to the states as well, or tourist souvenir.
