MEXICAN TAXCO SILVER / LAPIS SERVING TRAY & SET
Here is abeautifullyhandmade Silver Coffee / Tea time Serving Set
Silver has been tested as true!Hand made from Taxco, Mexico by artist Fajardo.
This is a nice figural set with royal blue stone birds (parrots) as the handles to the creamer pitcher and sugar bowl. The sugar bowl has aremovablelid in fantastic blue! We are guessing that this stone is lapis but it must not be taken as a statement of fact as we have no way of confirming the type of stone. If you have any indication, please do let us know! This is the finest handiwork. We believe that this is silver plated, as Plateado is stamped on the art in two places. There is no indication of silver weight or sterling made.
The tray itself is rimmed in fine stone and is of repousse hand design as well! The pitcher and serving bowls have hand done dimpled design work all the way around. The lid to the sugar bowl fits well.
The exact age is unknown, but I\'ve had this set stored away for many years! I did have this tested to authenticate it is truly silver, and YES,
Measurements and Weights (approximate):
Tray: 25cm long (9 13/16\") by 17.5cm wide (6 15/16\") by ~1cm deep (1/2\") (10.1 oz total weight)Creamer pitcher: ~12cm (4 7/8\") high,~14cm (5.5\") wide at widest (6 oz total weight)Sugar Bowl: ~10cm (4\") high, ~14cm (5.5\") wide at widest (8.6 oz total weight with lid)
Condition: Beautifully in tact and nothing broken! Will need some cleaning by a loving hand, I just don\'t have the experience or proper supplies to do this piece justice. One of the parrot\'s eyes on the sugar bowl is recessed, I cannot tell if it is missing its eye or not, but I have taken photos for you. There are ever small dimples and hairline scratches on the bottom of the tray but are not blatant and are seen under bright light and an angle, and most any imperfection in patina will look amazing when cleaned with care.
Markings: Both bowls are marked \"Taxco Mexico\" \"Fajardo\" \"Plateado\", the tray does not have any markings or it may have been buffed out.
Shipping: As always, I handle, pack and ship with care. This will be protected well. I provide insurance but will require of winning buyer a signature confirmation of receipt. This will ship USPS Priority Post both domestically and internationally withinternationalregistered mail a requirement.offer confidently and enjoy!
