Most WLAs were equipped with a rugged brown leather scabbard for the Thompson SMG at the right side of the front wheel to keep the \"Tommy Gun\" handy and ready for action. This US Army WW2 HARLEY-DAVIDSON WLA MOTORCYCLE THOMPSON SMG LEATHER SCABBARD is in good condition, with a semi-circular notch in the upper right side edge, a nick in the top right front edge, three spot indents, a small surface crack, and some light crazing at the top left spine, some light drying and crazing at the lower left spine, some light scattered verdigris to the brass hardware at the lower front, a scuff in the bottom left front edge, and with some overall scratching, darkening, and age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the scabbard is in fine shape, with no other damage to the supple, well preserved brown leather construction. Most interestingly, it\'s \"U.S.\" stamped at the upper front, along with its maker and date, \"MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO / 1941\", boasts a fully intact darkened brass post and brown leather short strap at the lower front, and sports a rigid bottom section.
