USA WWII M3 CASE 1943 BLUE BLADE (Short Handle) FIGHTING KNIFE with M6 SHEATHThis is extremely rare M3 Case 1943 with short handle. Blade has some minor sharping and patinein a few ares (see pictures). Handle is dark may-be from soldier applying linseed oil, minor crackin a groove. Cross-guardpommel and handle are tight. Sheath isa M6 Barwood no damageand still supple, snap function.As per book U.S. and Allied Military Knives M3\'s and M4\'s by Bill Walthers.The author display his Case1943 short handle on pg.34 #5 and on pg.31 #5 state \"This one of kind M3 is the only short handled, blade dated Case M3that I have seen.This Case is 100% standard except for the shorter handle. It has a compressed pommel. Extremely Rare\"
