This very handsome young gentleman wore a tall top hat and a polka dot waistcoat for his daguerreotype. He is posed next to a pile of books that likely belonged to the photographer. The large book on the bottom has a globe on it as well as the letters “-GRAPHY” in the title. Could it have been “Photography”?
The 1/6 plate daguerreotype was resealed with new glass and the case measures about 3.25 x 3.75 inches.
