VINTAGE \"RARE\" EARLY 1900\'S DOVER ICE CREAM SCOOP SIZE 16 For Sale

This \"RARE\" vintage Dover ice cream scoop I believe is made of nickel plated brass with a green wooden handle and was made by the Dover Mfg. Co., Dover N.H.. The patent for this dipper was filed in Oct. 1927 and issued May 1929. This was a manually operated lever rather than having a spring mechanism. In Wayne Smith\'s book; Ice Cream Dippers, an original ad states; \"All springs, clips and other foolish contraptions that serve no purpose in a non measuring disher, other thanto make it weak, have been eliminated from this wonderful new device\". Quite a sales pitch! It is a size 16...that\'s 16 scoops to the quart. So very impressive !!! It is heavy and made top quality. This fine rare piece of impeccable craftsmanship is in like new vintage condition with no noticeable wear. Any questions ask....This condition is a once in a lifetime find.
