IMPORTANT NOTE AND FEATURE: There is a \"shunt\" switch built into the mechanism of this \"high-end\" record player so that during cycling, the sound is \"muted\". The benefit in this feature is so you won\'t here amplified mechanical movements while the changer is cycling. Cycling is lifting the tone arm, dropping records, moving the tone arm to the start of or from the finish of a record. The switch actually \"shorts\" the signal wiring of the cartridge to ground so the cartridge will not supply a signal during cycling. Once the changer mechanism has completed a cycle, the amplifier will once again have input from the cartridge audio signal.
Has push button on exterior between volume and tone controls for external reject of records from outside the cabinet.
A new gold plated female input jack has been installed for iPod or other audio source input. (use optional and additional iPod adapter with all low voltage digital devices)
A new gold plated female RCA speaker output jack has also been added on the bottom of the cabinet for external 6-8 ohm speakers.
Has a Laz-e push button switch that allows player to be controlled and played with the lid closed
Lots of volume and tone from this stunning Voice of Music record player.
A little about me:
It is my passion to bring you the very finest restoration I can. My quest to explore, diagnose, repair and service electronic and mechanical devices began when I was 7 years old. I\'d get up very early, everyday in the Summer and on Saturday mornings during the school year. I\'d take my Huffy bicycle around TV service and electronic repair store rubbish areas. I\'d hit the trash cans of neighbors, industrial and retail centers, collecting interesting specimens of electronic chassis and motor driven gizmos, to dissect, study and organize. In my teens I built and studied projects from Heathkit and other schematics featured in Mechanics Illustrated, Electronics Illustrated and similar related publications. In the Navy I went to school, studied and worked as an Aviation Electrician repairing and servicing military aircraft. Now that I\'m retired, I still love to tinker with electronic and mechanical devices. If the item is old and moves, engages, lights up, or makes sound, I am driven to dismantle, clean, readjust and rebuild the device. I have several radios, record players, amplifiers, and color wheels that I will be restoring over the next several years. My goal is to make these old, vintage devices function like new again. They sure don\'t make-em like they used to. Cheers: Daniel
