This Is USED Vintage \" Mushroom \" \" LIGHTED \" Telephone Phone Made by Western Electric in 10/ 1958 , This Is A Very Nice Example Of A Model 500 U. The U models have a small lamp over the dial to allow one to use the phone in a dark room. Because of the shape of the lamp shade the phone is commonly called a \"Mushroom\" Phone.The Mushroom On This Phone Is A Replacement And Does Not Match To The Color Of The Phone 100% >>> See Pictures !!!. Color Of The Phone Is PINK.ON BOTTOM HasA Volume RING Control.The dial light is controlled by a two position switch mounted on the lower left of the phone body, it can be turned on as a dimnight light and will get brighter when the receiver is lifted or switched to only come on when the receiver is lifted.The telephone requires a transformer that must be plugged in to a normal 110 volt wall socket in addition to being connected to the telephone line.The PhoneIs In Good Vintage CLEAN CONDITION.*** The Phone Was Tested And Is In Perfect Working Condition MAKES AND RECEIVES CALLS PERFECTLY ****** HAS AN OLD STRONG BELL RINGER.The phone will plug into any modern phone jack and will work fine.This telephone is 50 years old and still Work Perfect.
