This razor features the “Flat Bar Guard” and comes in the Classic Gillette “Red & Black” Case with an Opened 5-Pack of Gillette “Blue Blade” Razor Blades--containing four (4) razor blades--In their Original Wrappers. The “NEW” is regarded by many enthusiasts as one of the best designs ever produced by Gillette. This razor is the “Special-Deluxe” Version--Featuring the “Gold-Plated Solid Brass Flat Bottom Bar Guard”. (See Pictures)

This is a quality made razor and is well balanced--weighing 57g.
DESCRIPTIONS & CONDITIONS:
THE RAZOR: This Razor is Beautifully Gold-Plated--showing less than age-appropriate wear and scratches--VERY MINOR Plate Loss Throughout. The “Flat-Bottom” Bar Guard is also Beautifully Gold Plated. The Bar Guard has the following markings: “PAT. NOS. 1815745--1858316--REISSUE PAT. NO. 17567”--“The Gillette Diamond Trademark Logo”--“Made in U.S.A.” The teeth on this razor are as designed at manufacturing. The Handle too is Gold Plated and has nice Knurling--showing little use. The Threads on this Razor are Perfect--Screws Together Squarely and Tightly. (See Pictures)
I have taken pictures of this razor from every possible angle, so you can see exactly what you are buying---and leaving nothing to the imagination. However, if you feel like you need more pictures--do not hesitate to ask. I will respond within 24 hours. (See Pictures)
The only thing I did to this razor when I got it was give it a warm soapy bath. I did not want to get too aggressive with this razor, in fear of disturbing some of the beautiful Gold Luster. There may be some aged soap scum left in the creases of this razor. Further cleaning and sterilization should be accomplished before use/display.
THE CASE: This is the Classic Gillette “Red & Black Leather” Case. The Outside of this Case is Really Nice--Showing Less Than Age-Appropriate Wear. The bottom liner is also in nice-vintage condition. The Lettering inside has faded from age. The “Spring-Load” on this case does NOT work--leaving a very-very small gap when closed. This Case Displays the Razor very well. (See Pictures)
