This is for a Vintage 1942World War II United States Armed Forces OL, Oneida LimitedM1905/42 Rifle Bayonet withM3 Scabbard. It maybe a reproduction, I don\'t know. The M1905/42 bayonet is stamped \" OL, U.S. (FlamingBomb symbol), 1942\" on one sideand on the other side the stamped insignia for the \"Ordnance Department, U.S.A.\".The M3 Scabbard is marked with the US/ Flaming Bomb symbol whichstands for Beckwith Mfg.\".On the metal throat there is a mark \"B1/4N\".Beckwith Mfg. opened the The Victory Plastics Company in Feb. 1942. It was owned and operated by the parent company \"Beckwith Mfg.\". The M1905 Bayonet and the M3 Scabbard are in very good to excellent condition. They have very minimal wear due to age and/or storage. The bayonet has black plastic handle, parkerized blade and its blade measures 16\" long. The locking mech. works correctly. The blade appears to never have been resharpened. The blade is very sharp. Nice tip to the blade. The bayonetslength is approx. 20 3/8\" long. Scabbard approx. 17\" long. Blade approx. 16\"long. Handle approx. 4 1/2\" long.Bayonet and scabbard measure approx. 21 1/2\" long.
