WW2 WWII Rare Japanese Yasukuni Shrine Plane w/ Rising Sun Enamel Medal Japan #4 For Sale

You are offerding in the medal/badge shown in the photo. This is a Kojimachi Ward (a ward in Tokyo) badge for the Imperial Time Expired Soldiers League and it\'s quite rare. I\'ve only come across a couple of them in 15 years finding Japanese war items. The badge features Yasukuni Shrine (the place where Japanese soldiers are enshrined) on top with the league badge below and a bi-plane to one side and an anti aircraft gun to the other, It comes with a enamel bar with pin on the back featuring a red rising sun in the middle and five colored stripes across (red, blue, white, black and yellow). It also comes with its original presentation box. The badge is dated 1933 (Showa 8) on the back. This was actually one of the badges featured in the book \"In the Name of a Living God\" about Japanese badges (page 16), but that one didn\'t have the enamel bar. Definitely one of those collectors pieces you won\'t have many chances to add to your collection.
This would make a wonderful addition to any Japanese military medal, World War 2 or military collection. This was picked up as part of a large military lot I picked up on my last visit to Japan which I will be listing over the next few months.
