Hi again ............ i can not find a makers mane on this unusual old buggy lamp ..... horse drawn english handsome cabs used them , wealthy estate coaches , old funeral coaches

i have a very old and high quality carriage lamp ....... it has a fitting on it so it could be carried inside and filled and cleaned ....... it measures a full .... 30 inches high ....... hollow brass fixture measures ..... 14 inches down from the bottom of the glass ...... then the beveled glass measures another ..... 7 1/2 inches tall ........ and then ....... 8 more inches to the top .......all glass is beveled

the glass windows are all leaded in ....... one has a little crack in the corner ....... there is no original burner or font ...... it had an electric bulb in it which i threw away ...... one of the bottom vent holes was drilled a bit larger for an electric cord ........ the larger hole is not significant

the rest seems all original ...... the oil fount i suppose would have fitted down inside of the bottom pipe ...... the light it and close the metal reflector in place ......... hang it on the buggy and go .......

this is special ....... someone wealthy had to own this example ........ certainly not for the common horse drawn wagon ....... lol

lots of pictures to see ..... i tried to show it all ...... ...... this is fresh from an estate sale about 3 weeks back ............. could be 1820 ..... no newer than 1880

as far as shipping goes , that is just what we will charge you to ship the item ..... no hidden extras , no packing or materials fee ......... usually the post office and sometimes ups ......and sometimes the shipping calculator is way off the mark ............., it simply depends on where you live ...... items going overseas naturally cost more to ship than those that stay in the states ..... a toy or a tool .... something for the bathroom , or a children\'s book , whatever ..... we are always willing to send it slower and save you money ...... always glad to combine purchases as well ......

shipping is the cost to your home only .......... we will also no longer charge for insurance ...... but all items will STILL BE insured by us , as we will pay for it on our end ....... have no fear ..... and again , all packing materials , wrapping tissue , paper , bubble wrap and boxes are free ....... we re-cycle almost everything anyway and my brother Jon gets about 98% or 99% of his packages delivered to the customer in perfect condition ......... \" having said that , UPS once broke our cast iron kitchen skillet \" ....... so you never know ..... heh heh
