Dietz lanterns used to be great. This Chinese bs is garbage at best and a giant fire hazard in reality. Nothing fits, nothing works as it’s supposed to, the chimney sticks, the fuel reservoir leaks I really can’t find anything positive to say.

Dietz remains the best value..! and it is brand new!
Restoring and collecting paraffin lanterns, since 1974, I gained immense wisdom, on this XX century contraption. Materials, workmanship. Dietz fought it out with all brands, since 1840. This model, the Original '76, is to me, the epitome. For its size, relatively safer to use than any other... Definitely easier to maintain. Very sturdy, when compared to anything larger. Its only competitor, more expensive, is the Feuerhand Baby No. 275. This new Dietz version, just came out, in galvanized metal. Quite elegant to display. A splendid conversation piece ...but Please, use your flashlight... And never ever, leave a lit lantern, unattended.
