Durable, watertight and works well in very cold wet weather! I have 4 of these lights 2 on helmets and 2 on plate-carriers. The Visable lights make writing and/or reading perfect especially with 3 brightness settings for each. I use the red for night reading flipping up my NODS to read. The IR strobes are excellent on a helmet and also having one in the front of the plate carrier helps at distance, I also run blinking V-lite IR's on the top back of the helmets.

It's bright for its lumen specs. But not bright enough for what i need it for. Durable and light weight for sure. Make sure you do not use batteries intended for cameras. Surefire sells its own branded batteries, both chargeable and non chargeable lithiums and at a lower cost than most popular brands. Seller was fast and reliable. I do wish shippers would used priority mail. I would have mind and extra few bucks to get it in two days.
