It should be labeled ALICE style because it's not a surplus ALICE pack. Overall not bad. Initial likes: material is solid canvas I don't forsee it getting ripped or torn shoulder straps have a compass pouch(something I don't recall military issue pack having. Frame seems solid. Dislikes: The QD clips on the straps are made of plastic it seems sturdy enough as long as you don't abuse UT excessively it should be fine but it is a possible failure point, the pads also seem thin but not too bad
