Lava Lamp arrived, packaging in good shape, unpacked unit, base and cap in great shape, haven’t fired it up yet, but unfortunately the globe is insanely cloudy (most likely due to transit), will have to let this one sit for a long long time to clear up, or consider draining it and replacing the liquid at some point. Always a gamble getting these online, they do not usually ship well and end up super cloudy, this one is no exception, super cloudy globe. Was worth the gamble I guess tho..

Watching blobs move around in a small Lava Lamp is like watching people trying to dance in a phone-booth (remember those Superman?) When one gets one of these 27inch tall units there's more than twice as much room for the blobs to move around in all directions, allowing for many more interesting dyanamics to witness. These monsters do use 100W bulbs instead of the standard 40W bulbs but even a 100W bulb running all day uses only about 30 cents of electricity which may not even be important if one is trying to stay warm. These Lava Lamps Don't Ship Well
They don't ship well at all. My box arrived in the mail all smashed up. Lamp fixture had several dents all over. The wax had mixed with the oil which that then made it useless. It did not have one fragile sticker on the box. I had to return the product back to my local Target Store. Bottom line, lava lamps never have shipped well. Something to do with the temperature change during storage and movement. You should be able to purchase the bigger lamps (29 inch) in stores but I haven't seen that yet.They don't ship well at all. I purchased this for my son's birthday. I bought 2 others over the last couple years and neither one lasted. I should have known. It stopped working in less then a month! These are like Cheap knockoffs from the Originals back in the day. Never Again!!!!
