This is a nice clean 1907 1st edition (2nd printing) of ″A COMPREHENSIVE HANDBOOK ON USES AND APPLICATIONS OF THE BAND SAW AND JIG SAW″ instruction booklet. It is dated, with copyright date of 1934, Oct. 1934 printing date. Copyright by ″THE WALKER-TURNER CO. INC. PLAINFIELD N.J.″. This book is 6″ x 9″. It has over 100 photo illustrations and line drawings, and diagrams, along with text to give you a much better understanding of jig saws and band saws from the 1930's era. We note that this book doesn't focus on any particular saw model or models that this company made, but does show some application for these machines that I often forget they are capable of, like filing on a jig saw, or Inlaying metals and other decorative applications. It also show various projects like puzzles. A good text section on saw blades, speeds, set-up etc. This book has 71 pages. Condition is good to good++, pages are very clean, cover, binding and spine intact, we note a small puncture through the entire book, however all the text is still readable, it is like someone put a sharp point awl through the pages, so it didn't make a hole big enough to remove text from the pages. It is soft covered, some shop dirt noted, but overall in clean condition, no missing pages, no writing or scibbling noted. A hard to find applications booklet!

This is a nice clean 1907 (13th edition) of ″Standard Wiring for Electric Light and Power″ instruction booklet. It is dated, with copyrigh date of 1907, Copyright by A. B. CUSHING, also marked 13th edition. This book is 4.5″ x 6.75″, and is published by ″H. C. CUSHING″. It is loaded with pictures, charts and diagrams, along with text to give you a much better understanding of standard electrical wiring in 1907. This book has an index on page 143-146, followed by an excellent picture advertisement section, about 50 more pages. Ads are about electrical items like batteries, wall switches, light fixture, insulators, switches, fuses, boxes, wire, about anything you can think of, some outstanding pictures of antiques! Condition is good (on outside cover) to very good, very clean pages, good binding and spine, no missing pages. It is soft covered, as you can see some of the top leather is missing on the cover front mostly, and a little missing on the spine, yet the paper part of the cover is still mostly intact, and well attached to the binding. There is a few various private store or library stamps on the inside blank pages, otherwise no writing inside. Nice old book overall!

This book lists literally hundreds of manufacturers of cutlery from all over the world. Old as well as new brands are included. The easy-to-use format allows the collector to become an expert in evaluating or appraising knives by using the RBR evaluation scales. There are overviews describing the histories of major knife companies, a section on commemoratives and limited editions, clubs and organizations, numbering systems, and a section on identifying knife patterns.

Glass containing cobalt has been discovered from the Babylonian-Assyrian period, the Mycenaean era, and the Roman Empire. Commercially, cobalt was not used as a glass colorant until the late 1800s. Small quantities of cobalt were produced by American glass companies from the late 1800s to the mid-1920s. Most of the American cobalt glass in this book is from the mid-1920s to World War II. Several companies including the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company, the L.E. Smith Glass Company, and the MacBeth-Evans Glass Company produced machine-molded cobalt glass during the 1930s that can be considered true Depression glass. Many of the major glass companies are covered in this book: Cambridge, Central Glass, Duncan & Miller, Fostoria Glass, Hazel Atlas, A.H. Heisey, Imperial, Paden City, Westmoreland, and many more. There are over 800 color photos. Items shown include candlesticks, bowls, compotes, cake stands, trays and platters, glasses, pitchers, and perfumes.
