<p>Pretty pair of Victorian vases with design of cabbage roses to the fronts, and a smaller spray of roses to the rear. Gilded edges. In the style of Empire Porcelain Co of Staffordshire, but no makerâ€&#153;s marks, just a pattern name “Lomond” and the gilderâ€&#153;s marks. Gilding to edges and gilded highlighting of body details. Hand enamelled highlights to the roses. Earthenware body. One handle on each vase is faulted, having been glued (see photo). One is not noticeable and the other is a little cruder, but would make an easy restoration. Otherwise perfect. Circa 1896-1910. Would look great on a Victorian mantelpiece or in a shabby chic room. The cabbage roses fit that decor so well.
