View Larger Image   Sargent No. 708 Autoset Smooth Plane Rosewood   Description: Offering this unique design in woodworking planes called an Autoset plane. Marked clearly in raised letting just behind the front knob "SARGENT" and also marking in raised letters behind the cutter, "PAT. JAN 12 15 708". The plane features many adjustment for the cutter including a lateral adjustment. Retains about 90% original paint. The cutter is in sharpe condition with plenty of stock for resharpening. The rosewood handle are in good shape with no crackS in the rear tote and a few hairline grain cracks in the front knob, both are very solid with some minor wear such as scratches and tiny dings. The cutter is 1 3/4" wide.
