View Larger Image   Nice 2 x 8" Sharpening Stone in Wood Case   Description: This is a nice antique 2 x 8" sharpening stone in a larger hardwood case that surrounds it. You can flip the stone for medium and fine grit, your choice, as this stone is feature the 1/2 light brown color fine grit on one side and the darker gray/brown medium/course grit stone on the other side. Considering that this is an antique, used sharpening stone is still pretty flat, good for honing chisels and other edge tools. We note a few small edge chips, none effect use of the stone, most are small and on the fine grit side, the side shown in the first picture. The wood case measures 10" long and has a few minor cracks in it, but is made of solid stock and remain in solid condition. The wood show it's age, and has some oil staining and wear, but holds the stone well.
