Cantelo 8" Draw Knife w/ Spring Locking Handles

Description:
This is a rather rare draw knife with a patented spring loaded lock that holds the handles in place. To release the handle, simply slide the handle screw heads toward the end of the handle, that lever action releases the spring tension that holds the handle in place. This draw knife is quite rare, is in good working condition, with good solid hardwood handles that are notched out to actually cover most of the blade when closed, with good steel caps on both ends of each (nice design). No cracks in the wood handles. There is some minor pitting on the steel, but mostly in the hand arms areas, not near the cutting edge. The blade is sharp, but a bit of honing would be in order if one was going to use it. The makers mark is in the middle near the ends of the handles when folded, reads, "J.S. CANTE.O". A very hard to find convex formed draw knife.
