View Larger Image   Hand Forged Axe Head 18th Century   Description: This is a nice old ax head that was hand forged from iron stock into this nicely shaped hand tool. It was in an old farm estate in France for many years before I purchased it. Amazingly the cutting edge is in nice condition with a few tiny dings but in good shape. As you can see in the pictures the lightly pitted surface is the same across the tool, so I am guessing that it hasn't been sharpened in many years.
