View Larger Image   Early German Tanged Chisel 7/8" Wide Rare!   Description: As you may have noticed looking through our web site, I do offer many rare names in chisels. This is one of the rarest, marked on this chisel as best I can read the very small stamped mark "Ernest Crucible Jordan Germany Cast Metal". The handle may not be original, I just don't know because I've not seen another like this one. It is sharp and has a bit of pitting here and there, but look good with no pitting around the cutting edge. The handle has one scrape and a few dings and scrathes, but is very solid with a large steel binding. The steel measures 5 1/4" from the cutting edge to the handle.
