L. Coes Monkey Wrench Adjustable Early 12"
 
Description:
This is a good old 12' long monkey wrench marked "L. COES PAT'D MAY 4, 1869.". The handle is the 1 piece wood type in good condition with wear and a small dings, some hairline cracks in the wood, and chips from over-tightening, still solid and in one piece. The metal has some sign of pitting but not rusty now. Good jaw alignment, and straight beam. There jaw movement and screw is good also. No rust present, some pitting seen. A good early patented monkey wrench!
