View Larger Image   Culter Cast Steel Flat Carving Chisel   Description: This is a top quality 19th century carving chisel that is marked "T. CUTLER CAST STEEL". I've used this chisel since the pictures were taken, and before I used it I flat stoned the bottom surface, removing most of the light pitting near the cutting edge. It is sharp and ready to work. There is one 1/16" area that will have to be sharpened through after about 5 normal sharpenings in the future, due to a pitted area of that size.
