View Larger Image   Mongin 4" Wide Scraper or Cutter   Description: This is a very nice 19th century heavy duty scraper or cutter for a special purpose I'm sure. marked with a maker's name "MON MOGIN AINE PARIS ED MOGIN SR. AVENUE PHILIPPS AUGUSTA 40 46". A very nicely made tool and well marked. The steel measures 4.7" long x 3.95" wide. The handle is very well secured via a steel shaft inside the handle capped with a brass fitting on the end, and a steel ferrule at the other end. Sharp and ready to use or display. Most likely imported from France over 100 years ago.
